ReturnReady.ai is a free, non-commercial educational project. We take your privacy seriously and have designed this service to collect as little data as possible.

What Data We Collect

We collect minimal data — and most of it never leaves your device:

• Quiz answers and chat history — stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to or stored on any ReturnReady.ai server.
• Email address — collected in the quiz form but not currently stored anywhere. It is not transmitted or saved by our systems.

Third-Party AI Processing

When you chat with Mia, your messages are processed by Google AI Studio (primary) or Groq, Inc. (fallback). Both are US-based services necessary for the service to function.

ReturnReady.ai does not store your messages. When using the free tier, conversations are processed via Google AI Studio's free API. Google may use free-tier prompts to improve their models per their terms of service. If you prefer your conversations not be used for model training, you can bring your own API key via the ⚙️ settings in the chat.

When using ReturnReady in free mode, conversations are processed via Google AI Studio's free tier API, subject to Google's terms of service and privacy policy. Your API Key (BYOAK)

You can bring your own API key from Groq (free), OpenRouter, Anthropic (Claude), or OpenAI. When active, your key is stored in your browser's localStorage only and is never transmitted to ReturnReady servers. API calls go directly from your browser to the chosen provider — ReturnReady.ai has no access to your key or message content.

Cookies and Tracking

• We use no cookies of any kind.
• We use no analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking scripts.
• localStorage is used solely for session persistence — to save your progress between visits.

We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-first, GDPR-compliant analytics tool, to collect anonymous usage statistics. This includes page views, session counts, and anonymised interaction events such as quiz completions and chat sessions. No personal data, IP addresses, or cookies are collected or stored. All data is fully anonymous and cannot be used to identify individual users. You can learn more about Umami's privacy approach at umami.is.

Your Rights

You can delete all data stored by this site at any time by:

• Clearing your browser's localStorage or site data in browser settings, or
• Clicking "Start fresh" in the chat interface — this removes all your progress and profile data instantly.
