ReturnReady.ai is a free, non-commercial educational project. We take your privacy seriously and have designed this service to collect as little data as possible.

What Data We Collect

We collect minimal data — and most of it never leaves your device:

• Quiz answers and chat history — stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to or stored on any ReturnReady.ai server.
• Email address — collected in the quiz form but not currently stored anywhere. It is not transmitted or saved by our systems.

Third-Party AI Processing

When you chat with Mia, your messages are sent to Groq, Inc. (US-based, groq.com) for AI processing. This is necessary for the service to function.

ReturnReady.ai does not store your messages. Groq's own privacy policy governs how they handle data sent to their API. We encourage you to review it at groq.com.

Your API Key (Future Feature)

We are planning a "bring your own API key" (BYOAK) mode. If implemented, your API key will be stored only in your browser's localStorage. ReturnReady.ai will never see, transmit, or store your API key.

Cookies and Tracking

• We use no cookies of any kind.
• We use no analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking scripts.
• localStorage is used solely for session persistence — to save your progress between visits.

We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-first, GDPR-compliant analytics tool, to collect anonymous usage statistics. This includes page views, session counts, and anonymised interaction events such as quiz completions and chat sessions. No personal data, IP addresses, or cookies are collected or stored. All data is fully anonymous and cannot be used to identify individual users. You can learn more about Umami's privacy approach at umami.is.

Your Rights

You can delete all data stored by this site at any time by:

• Clearing your browser's localStorage or site data in browser settings, or
• Clicking "Start fresh" in the chat interface — this removes all your progress and profile data instantly.
